Casamayor: "I Want Barrera Next"

I'm sure Joel wants MAB....look what Pacquiao did to him!!!

Barerra, MOrales, and Pac are not lightweights.. I hope they don't forget it... Although most of the premier fighters are now moving up, Casamayor alone is too much for any of the 3 to take on. Just too much natural size and power at that point, at least imo. Barerra definetly wouldn't take the fight as far as I'm concerned.

what your saying is fair.. and might be true...
but if you ask me barrera take the fight on sheer guts and just being such a warrior ....
i just dont see casamoyor bieng able to beat barrera, i dont think he matches up to him... i find it hard to explain cos i dont see barrera outclassing him skillwise speedwise or any such attributes... not saying he doesnt, just dont think they are factors....forget boxing
barrera is tough.period. and frankly i dont see joel hanging with him in boxing mma whereever cos when it all comes down to it .. its a fight..

Frankly i can only see him beating morales atm.... but prime vs prime, he doesnt match up to any of the three....
put it this way barrera morales and pacman all beat on corrales by a large margin...
casamayor does it by a slight margin....
prime vs prime and all at the sam wieght i just dont think he stands a chance vs any of them
i mean did you see the fight he had before corrales... a twelve round struggle against an opponent that shouldnt have been in his league... and corrales dissed him for it rightly so....
to be fair corrales no matter how entertaining has no shortage of kinks in his heavily beaten armour..
and its also possibly a style thing...
and yeh the first two casa-corra fights were pretty much good ol back and forth beat downs
i dont see joel standing toe to toe with any of those three... definiately not outboxing pacman...
diego is in no way slick and diego could still land no shortage of punches on him, pacman would jus have a field day with his fients!!
and lets not forget barrera is the man who dethroned the prince!! he'd just textbook box and rough him up to a decision....
and the power thing doesnt have to be a factor against barrera.. i mean rocky j has a hell of a punch and look how he got schooled..
im not saying joel couldnt knock out barrera... but i am saying he wouldnt !

Prime for prime at the same weight, Casamayor takes Pac to school. It's obvious you never saw Casamayor at his best.

No way Barrera takes this fight. Firstly, because of the obvious size issue. Secondly, Marco has stated he will fight once more next year and probably call it quits. It's almost certainly going to be a rematch with Pac or a slight chance he might go one more time with Morales. Joel needs to look for another fight.

yeah.....He needs to call out someone in their prime....PAC perhaps?

Barrera is one of the biggest fights out there for Joel along with the winner of Pac/ Morales but I'd much rather see Casamayor fight Castillo at a catchweight!!!

Barrera was at his best at like 122-125ish, and is a great fighter, but he would have never beaten Casamayor... Corrales and Castillo IMO have everything Barrera does/did, and neither of them I think are as good as Casamayor who IMO beat them both.

I don't think Corrales or Castillo are anything like Barrera in terms of fighting style or skill. That is not to say either of them couldn't beat Marco (they are both naturally bigger and stronger guys)....but Corrales and Castillo are more puncher/brawler fighters...where as Marco has become a master boxer with great technical skills. All of this doesn't matter though....Marco isn't going to fight any of them. It's Pac or Morlaes and that's it.

Fool. Skill wise MAB/Morales are above Casamayor but even Morales isn't that dumb surely. I think MAB has enought skill to out box a more slender Chavez but hell who knows what weight Casamayor would turn in at. MAB fights at close to his walking round weight all these other guys you're talking about pack on well over 14lbs between fights and much of that goes back on come fight night. Too big a natural size advantage.
