Default Mr Warren - Calzaghe was the best of all

I saw an article in the paper today where Frank says Joe is the best British fighter of the past 30 years . He gave reasons why Nas etc arent as good . And you could E-mail your own opinion but I thought id see what you guys think . Joe could surpass Bernards number of defences and if he fought fighters coming up in weight maybe his legacy would be a s great . Plus any quality youd want to mention , ie speed , power , workrate , Joe has the advantage .

Lewis aside Joe could be the best IMO

I have to go with JC, I am still impressed about the domination of Lacy which was a megafight, Nas was my favorite to watch when he was fighting part time boxers but when he went up against Marco it threw his bloody career in the dumps.

Bomber Graham and Eubank at his best I have over Joe, probably a pre-Watson Eubank would be my pick.

    I sort of agree

But I wonder if FW would hold that opinion if he wasn't Joes man?

i disagree with eubank i like eubank hes good fighter but he hates people who dont fight at his pace so calzaghe beats eubank by decision hed beat graham by sd and watson i dont know because i was very impressed with watson against benn and eubank there was this program on yesterday about joe and benn said he would of prolly beaten me out of ones u mentioned benn prolly fought best opp

Calzaghe is indeed the finest british boxer of the last 30 years. Hatton is a close second IMO, but given a couple of big fights could very well eclipse Calzaghe. Hatton seems more up for fighting the big names and not just who Warren will serve him up....

Another rweason why I think Joe is so good is cuz when the last time we have a fighter ( apart from Lennox ) who could beat every fighter around his weight class .

I cant think of a guy who could face Joe at 168 or 175 and be victorious . Winky and Taylor are p4p superstars but Joe has treh edge and Traver , Jones , B-hop etc couldnt live with the pace Joe sets so id make him favourite against everyone
