Id like to say it isnt, but i got a funny feeling it is.

Everytime i step into the ring with somebody i know is better than me, i end up being overly-cautious, not throwing some nice shots that could land, and more than likely losing. Which pretty much backs up your point Von.

It can be,, the key to winning, is sometimes you got to B.S yourself. If you lose mental confidence before a fight, no reason to get in the ring. I stay away from press and forum topics that might bother me before a fight. I stay away from any negative vibes what so ever, and enter the ring in a mental state of" I am the best fighter on the planet." you got to believe that every time you walk into that ring or you are destined for failure. !

I don't know. If I'm ever up against someone better than me, I assume I'm going to lose, but decide I'm going to try to go the distance with them anyway, and usually end up winning. But when I'm up against someone I think I can beat, I lose. Not because I didn't try hard enough, just for merely thinking I could win.

    You've started competing?

Didn't even know you went to a gym.
