Thread: Jermain Taylor: "Winky Wright Can't Whup Me"

If we don't see a rematch,I would be MASSIVELY dissappointed in Wright.

I love both fighters, but now Taylor especially because he is perhaps the best person in wanting to face the best out there we've seen since ODLH.

He's better at it than ODH, he'll take those guys on before anyone has the chance to beat them.

God Bless Taylor, I want for him to beat Winky by KO though he needs an impressive win over a top opponent

Who beat Mosley before ODLH fought him? Trinidad? Whitaker(lost bs decision to Ramirez)? Hopkins? Quartey? Now thinking of it for when he fought his opponents I don't think there has actually been anyone ever to fight the caliber he has fought.

I'll give you B-Hop, Shane, and Tito but here are some examples

Fernando Vargas (blasted out by Trinidad)
Ricardo Mayorga (blasted out by Trinidad)
Oba Carr (beat by Quartey and Trinidad)

and Julio Cesar Chavez had lost his fare share of times before they met too but he was old.

BUt you make a good point as well....ODH was no slouch

%100 in agreement from me....No one can ever accuse DLH of seeking easy fights to pad a record with..Love him or Hate him win or lose he was there...Even in his losses he was not dominated and you sat and wondered what he was doing in there...His only real beating came from B-Hop ( I said beatingnot loss ) DLH could hold his own with anyone....

Taylor will have a lengthly reign...I know I will get blasted for this but..IMO he is still young and has things to learn...He will only get better....I know he beat B-Hop twice and fought and drew with who might be the best P4P fighter besides PBF at the moment so it souinds crazy but he will get better than he is...As long as we don't find a hidden weak chin or something Taylor will gain more ring saavy then we will see his true potential
