who wins this one ??
vitali vs george foreman
evander holyfield
Foreman wins with a 4th or 5th round knockout and Holyfield wins via 10th round knockout.
Prime Foreman devastates Vitali in 4 rounds. A massive all out assault from George has Vitali on the back foot from the opening bell, Vitali seems intimidated and tries to retreat to make room for his jab and cross - big mistake, George crowds him - massive body shots and George's 'anywhere' punch wipes him out double-quick.
Foreman was a monster.
Vitali is not.
Good thread.
I reckon Vitali would have worn Evander down though, just like Bowe did. Holyfield would be too small for the Klit, but Big George would have make the hulking Ukrainian (I think?) shrink.

They both knock Vitali out IMO.

Vitali is a tough TOUGH guy...I don't know if Foreman or Holyfield or ANYONE could knock the guy down....but he did get hurt and awful lot (cut, knee, back, neck, shoulder)....I think that's the only way he gets beat.
Vitali is too tough to KO and too good at boxing to get beat by decision....tough I would say Holyfield and Foreman win in their primes but I just can't figure out how
I would guess VK would slaughter Evander. Against Foreman it would be a toss up but id pick VK to win that as well. Against Kessler? Ahh hell, VK would be put into his grave!Originally Posted by Lyle

Vitali loses both fights...by KO to Foreman and by UD from Holyfield....I don't think Holyfield would pack enough power to drop the bigger man.....Originally Posted by LegendBoxing65

There's no way that guy could stand there and let him rip into him like Lewis did. If those were Foreman shots it would be lights out for VK. Holyfield would out box and punish the bigger, slower Klitschko to a lopsided 12 round decision. You forget how fast and how good of a boxer the young Holyfield was. Klitschko would be way too slow and would get beaten the same way the older Foreman did when he made his comeback against Evander in 91 i think it was. No way Vitali Klitschko could hang with either one of them in their prime, IMO.
well, obviously foreman and holyfield because it's 2 against 1.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING

To be fair, Vitali and Lewis were the two superpowers in the heavyweight division. If Lewis stuck around and Vitali's body didn't become his own worst enemy, there would've been potential for great rematches. If they both stick around alittle longer and Vitali/Lennox 2 and maybe even 3 happen, it would be clear who the Best of this era was. It would be this era's Ali/Frazier. Those fights happen and Vitali could've be mentioned as the Foreman/Ali/tyson/marciano/louis of today. I think his body just gave out on him alittle too soon for him to clearly earn that recognition.

Lewis wont come back and you cant make that comparison anyway. Foreman, Louis, Marciano, Ali and Frazier were legitimate boxing greats; legends in fact. No way Vitali is carrying ANY of their jock straps. Who's Vitali fought? He fought Lewis and Kirk Johnson and those are the ONLY names of any caliber on his record. He got stopped by Lennox and Johnson aint sayin much. Lewis at least beat Holyfield and Tyson. Even if Lewis came back and whupped on him two more times it wouldnt put either of them in the same league as Ali, Foreman, Rocky Marciano or Joe Louis. Ridiculous in my opinion to even consider. People need to get off Klitschko's jock. Anyone with half assed boxing skill can do damage and have a decent record amongst an unimpressive division if they are 6'8" and over 250 lbs. It doesnt mean that they deserve to be compared or even spoken of in the same sentence as the legends do.Originally Posted by Punisher136
