    Default Steward on Klitschko!

    Steward on Klitschko:
“I’ve never trained a fighter so intense!”

Hall of Fame trainer Emanuel Steward, who has directed the careers of such great champions as Thomas Hearns, Milton McCrory and Michael Moorer, sat down with a small group of reporters at the end of his six weeks with Wladimir Klitschko, at their secluded camp in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

"I've probably never trained a fighter so intense with his training," Steward said about Klitschko.

“Nobody trains harder or more intense than Wladimir Klitschko. Five weeks of training with him is equivalent to almost three months with a normal fighter."

CC just read that on fightnews.com

I think it's great for Wlad's confidence to have a trainer telling everyone how impressed he is with him. Manny is a hall of fame trainer and he has trained PLENTY of great fighters....it says a lot when he says Wlad is the most intense.

Also he dismisses the questions about Wlad's chin and stamina...he says he knows what happened when those seemingly let him down and that's why it's not a problem for Manny. This also will put Wlad at ease....I mean he was fine when Sam Peter knocked Wlad down....never really got angry at Wlad for it or did anything to distract Wlad from the main goal WINNING THE FIGHT.

    Thats good.

    SH is good.

But putting the Byrd fight in perspective I still haven't forgotten how he looked against Williamson. If that guy shows up against Brock tonight he may have a chance. chances are he won't. He seems focused now

Wlad seems a lot more focused and a lot more calm, he seems in control of the fight from the start unlike how he looked vs Sanders or TOS.

But to be honest Williamson was fighting scared and that's dangerous either for him or for Wlad

Well the thing I noticed is that with Stewart the left hook goes SH had a great left hook, not it seems like a setup for a right hand now but he doesn't put as much on it where did it go?

I think Manny would rather Wlad use it off the jab as he has been to set up the right cross as you said.

Wlad's hook is one of the best in boxing....

1 minute in he lands the hook on Charles Shufford

The one he landed on Sam Peter in the 12th was badass too

CC for that Duke,I'm starting to believe that Klitschko is the best HW,ESPECIALLY under Steward who seems to have taken him to another level, especially with the mental side of things. Can anyone beat him?

Agreed...Brock caught Wlad a few times last night...& he looked stirred...not shaken...but stirred.

    We shall see.

Someone like...........I can't think of anyone who can set up their punches, or overwhelm Wlad, or weather his punches
