Boxer Curtis Woodhouse given community service

Boxer Curtis Woodhouse has been sentenced to 120 hours of community service for injuring a police officer.
Woodhouse, a former Grimsby Town footballer who recently turned to boxing, was also told at Bridlington Magistrates Court to pay the man £100.

At an earlier hearing he was convicted of assaulting the officer after he was called to a Bridlington pub where he had become drunk and abusive.

Thats a felony in america that comes with 5 years of jail time but hey boxers over here get watered down sentences as well.

Example No 1 to be presented to the court: Naseem Hamed cripples another man through dangerous driving....he serves 4 months of a 15 month sentence before being released. The prosecution rests.


I agree that it was lenient by the court on Woodhouse, but if it was a first offence and depending on the severity of the assault, eg. if it was just one punch, but he should have had a suspended sentence tagged to the community service IMO.

i dunno how hard this guy hits but the guy tyson beat up with one punch had a pretty nasty outcome. I swear he caved in half of that guys face. I can't find the pic right now but its pretty gruesome.
