Default Floyd Jr rips into Floyd Snr

Quoted in the Grand Rapids Press, Mayweather Jr., said: "My father has said he taught me everything I know, but he didn't teach me everything he knows. I'm glad he didn't teach me everything he knows, because my record might be 28-6-1."

He also said his father never reached his level because he was a slap puncher who couldn't duck!!

    NICE...

and to think I was worried Snr wouldn't commit 100% to training Oscar against his son.

Just lacks class that comment. Keep the family stuff at home.

Floyd Sr started it with the "I will break down my son if I have to, he's a arrogant disrespectful ass hole"

I'm not really interested in all their family bullshit, they should have some self respect and keep it to themselves rather than shamelessly using it to get the fight even more hyped or for whatever other purpose they are disrespecting each other. I'd rather see less talking and more great fights.(Floyd Mayweather senior over rates himself,I don't think he has had THAT much influence on PBF's career)

This is all build up for the fight. I can see them embracing afterwards, no matter who wins!

Not to be rude but Floyd snr trained his son from an infant to box, and was with him his entire amatuer career and for several years into his pro career. I don't really think you have any idea how much influence he has had, noone who's last name isn't Mayweather does.. I personally think Floyd snr training DLH is one of the biggest edges for Oscar going into this fight.

Na,no offence taken but I just think PBF has evolved himself. His conditioning, his mental aspect, you can't train anyone that,he has it naturally.PBF is in his prime or coming up to it without dad in his corner soooo like I said,I still think Floyd Senior is over rating himself although I'd happily admit I'm wrong if Oscar KTFO Floyd! Secondly, name me a way in which Floyd senior has made Oscar a better fighter? Watch the Vargas fight,he didn't give Oscar any uselful info at all!

Although this might have put him in jail at a much younger age!

I'm on Snr's team for this argument on this one. Jnr is definatly on his dads turf calling out oscar when there's a million other guys for him to fight. Wlad doesn't call out Vitali does he?
Well i guess on the othr side, Floyd has the right to call out who he wants. Actually this fence is kinda comfortable

Yeah your probably right there, and to say Floyd snr overrates his unfluence on DLH's career is pretty accurate imo.. However(I could be wrong), I believe Vargas was his first fight under Mayweather?? Still, it's not as if he followed that up with anything stunning so good point there.. I think DLH's defence did look a little sharper and he seemed to have picked up a few things in the Mayorga fight... But then again Sam Peter could probably look like a defensive master of the shoulder roll with a guy like Mayorga in front of him.. Real hard to say, I just think for this particular fight it is extremely valuable for Oscar to have FLoyd snr in his corner, he's going to need to bust out every trick in the book and then some...
