Default Jeff Lacy vs Vitali Typsko...

Didn't realize that this fight was coming up on the undercard of Wright vs Quartey. So, what do people think. How will Lacy look, is Typsko a good comeback fight? I haven't seen him once, what was their first fight like.. It ended early a NC I think due to a cut.. But how did they match up before that? Typsko has a decent record, wouldn't appear to dangerous on paper but Im skeptical as to how Lacy can perform at any high level immediately. Im sure he will KO this guy or at least should do, or else the fight probably wouldn't have been made... He wouldn't dare underestimate anyone at this point, that goes without saying. Anyone know anything about Vitali though? What are his chances in this fight.

Personally...I think that it's a bad comeback fight after such a long layoff.

Tyspko is not that easy of a nut to crack & who konws how Lacy works out due to the Tyson factor. Tyson was inhuman...a monster (for his weight...heh heh heh) until he got his ass handed to him...then no one feared him & it was a loooooooooooooong hard road for him...I espect the same for Lacy.

Hope that he can over come adversity though...I really dig on him. No matter how shitty his D is.

I think he will be out to make a statement and I dont think he will dissapoint. He could have taken an easier fight. But fair play to lacy, he is coming back with a tricky one. He has had a good rest and its time to come back with all cylinders burning. Calzaghe is too good for anyone. The Calzaghe loss has been a chance to hopefully patch up a flaw or two in that defence....I like Lacy and still believe he can be a force...

Given a few fights, he can be back in contention...

even though lacy has been exposed that he can be beaten (badly) i think he is still gonna be a champion again. don't know much about this guy he's fighting which tells me he's not one of the big players (if he was i would know a lot more about him), so i can see lacy coming back with a good performance.

Tsypko was, until recently, the EBU european champion, but lost to France's Jackson Chanet.

He is a good opponent and in his favour, has already shared a ring with Jeff during their first NC encounter.

I believe this will be quite a good little fight and will be nice to watch.

Plus the return of Jeff Lacy, who's certainly one of the more exciting boxers around in the upper weight tiers.

I see what you mean by the analogy, but the thing is I wouldn't call Lacy 1/2 the fighter Tyson was before he lost.. If anything I would call the Lacy we have seen already about on par with post prison Tyson, but hopefully unlike Tyson he can become better after losing... Jeff never has and never will have the tools Mike did in his prime. That's not even up for discussion imo.

I actaully think Birmingham will have Lacy training on the right things and that he will come back more focused and better overall. I really cant see him dissapointing becuase well if he does, he is going to have ALOT of trouble getting anywhere near world class ever again. I have confidence in him though, Lacy KO 8.

I don't think thats the factor. The factor is Jeff.

I'm pretty sure Birmingham worked on the same right things with Lacy before the Calzaghe fight. Lacy just didn't do any of it.
