WBO interim featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez (45-3-1, 34 KOs) is set to take on Filipino Jimrex Jaca (27-2-1, 12 KOs) on Saturday at the Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, TX. Marquez, who has previously held the WBA and IBF featherweight world crowns is considered to be one of the best in the world at 126 pounds. Marquez told Fightnews.com what he has in store for the Rio Grande Valley this weekend, plus spoke candidly about his desire to settle the score with Manny Pacquiao.
What are your thoughts about you possibly being awarded the WBO title because of Scott Harrison's inability to fight?
Unfortunately I wanted to fight him and win it in the ring. I have not received word yet about him losing the title. Things do happen for a reason and all we can do is wait and see what happens but remain busy and keep going on strong.
