Default Question on the double end bags

Hello all, I already own a heavy bag, and I dont have anyone to practice with or punch at me. So I am curious about double ended bags. I am just trying to improve my reaction times and get some defense game going.

    Are they worth the $40?
    What benefits will I see?
Can it be easily installed in a home?
Is thier a specific kind I should buy (6", 8",9", Mexican?)

oh, and is this thing gonna give me a black eye? lol

    Thanks.

To me they are one of the best tools in the gym, they are good for distance, footwork, punching without leaning, and hand ,eye cordinationen. good peice of kit.

My partner installed a double end bag at the club. He's a consumer and finds it necessary to have everything. Well, I don't really know because I fought without one, but that doesn't necessarily prove anything. Maybe, everyone who beat me worked on a double end bag. Well, probably not. I also I don't like the speed bag because I find the lazy gym-rats just abuse it. On the positive side I think it can develop hand eye co ordination and timing (after the work out of course).
