Thread: Brewer vs Benn, who wins?

Had Charles "the hatchet" Brewer and Nigel "Dark Destroyer" Benn, rumbled, who woulda been left standing, and who would have been lyin on the mat? Both were warriors, and I'm sure all the Brits will pick Benn without hesitation, but don't count out Brewer so quickly. The man could really bang, and was a never say die warrior. I'd pick Brewer myself, after getting up off the canvas, to KO Benn in the 3rd.

Are we talking a prime Benn? If so that's ridiculous Hulk mate, Brewer aint in a prime Benn's league no where near. Benn ko 2.

i pick benn by ko plus benn is too much of a warrior to be koed that early

I take Benn all day....Especially when on top of his game!!....Too much for the hatchet man

On the face of it i'd have to go with Benn by K.O . Brewers shown unreliable whiskers in the past and Benns a lights out hitter . However Charles did did a prime Calzaghe a hard fight and didnt go down . Benns been stopped afew times himself and has looked fragile so its a pick em .

Thats the way I was lookin at it. I know Brewer would be the underdog, and I'm pickin him because he's one of my favorite fighters, not cus its the logical choice, he would be the underdog going in. And Cockey Cockney I think Brewer is near Benn's league, he was a world champ, and never ducked anybody. It'd be one hell of a slug fest I can tell you all that.

Hey hear is a story about Brewer I heard....( I think it was from John Scully?...Not positive though).....When Brewer used to spar he insited on using full face head gear....The kind with the bar across it....Not just if he had an inury but all the time....and he would throw fits if his sparring partners hit him with any authority...from what I understand he was a real jerk to work for in camp

That must be true. What a pussy, I totally change my whole view of him now, Benn by KO 1.
Well thanks for the tidbit, I hope it ain't true, but some guys are weird about sparring, like Allan Green and his 18 oz gloves. :P

I think Benn would have beaten him well., but the fight would have been schorching while it leasted, any fight where someone is willing to trade with benn is always incredible excitement. Benn vs Iran Barkley is probably up there with the Gatti v Ward trilogy and Hagler v Hearns for sheer brutality.

Brewer is no mug, but Nige was a beast

Nige is abit too sharp methinks.
