before rocky one rocky like fought in clubs and stuff and he was pretty crap and was just a bum until he got his shot against appollo so 23 loses doe nt suprises me
Exactly the way I looked at it, when I saw the 23 losses tonight at the theatre. He was a club fighter, and racked up most of those losses then. Overall I liked the movie, not great, but good, defineately a good movie. Better than Rocky 5, and Two IMO. I never cared for two, just too damn slow paced IMO, but thats me. And 5 wasn't that bad, but this one is better. The new one is pretty emotional, or tries to be, Rocky Balboa, is a good movie overall, and the fight itself was fairly well done, still ridicilous, but entertaining.Originally Posted by Shinlee

In Rocky I they say while he is coming to the ring that he was 40-21, so they added the 10 fight montage in Rocky III + his other wins coming at the end of each movie, and you get his record.
true that the match that he won be fighting no prize fighters who werent hungry for the gold like he was lolOriginally Posted by lance Uppercut
They actually fucked his record up. He should have one less loss on his record.Originally Posted by lance Uppercut
It's one of the well known gaffes I read about on the net somewhere.
Thats funny that you said that, because I actually remeber in Rocky I, they say is record is 40-20, but when I was typing the post, I thought:"I must be wrong, becasue that doesn't add up. So if he is 40-20 going into the first apollo fight, and he looses to apollo, then again to Mr. T, he should only have 22 losses, not 23.Originally Posted by bilbo
yeah but he has a draw as well
