Edwin Valero's popularity keeps rising in sensational fashion that could soon easily over take the spotlight on Manny Pacquiao. Also known as "Doug Fischer's Son," Valero's impressive record involving first round knock out victories is not something to take lightly.
Many insiders not only believe strongly that Valero would easily defeat Pacquiao, but Pacquiao is making excuses not to fight Valero because he is in fear of the extremly popular and heavy hitting Valero. Case in point,
earlier this week in Tokyo, Valero took only 72 seconds in scoring another impressive first-round knockout win. After his quick win, Valero took aim at Pacquiao and challenged him to a fight.
Valero made his intentions loud and clear, and dissed Pacquiao for being a cab driver type: "I want Manny next. I hope Arum is listening. I don't want to hear Manny a lot of excuses to fight me this time. If our fight will happen, he will realize that he too is a cab driver."
Valero, made the cab driver remark in reacting to an earlier comment made by Pacquiao. Pacquaio called Valero's opponents tricycle drivers and then went on to avoid Valero's past challenge.
