you won't get beat up for a while yet so don't worry about it. Have fun. Boxing's great.

Taking a beating isn't as bad as it really seems. Afterwards of course! LOL! I remember someone mimmicking the whistle when I was fighting amateur and thought to myself "Thank God!" as I started ck to my corner. Then I realized someone from the crowd blew it. I had to finish the fight. That was one of my first fights, and I have had fifty so it couldn't have been that bad. I'd be stepping threw the ropes until now if I wasn't so damn old.

one also thing, what would be a good device to time rounds , like 5 , 2 minute rounds ? for workout purposes?
your first day will be easy. they'll show you how to tie wraps, do some shadow boxing and then maybe a round or two on mitts. after that, you're on your own to jump rope and feel totally out of place. lol. just stick with it. you'll be working the bag like the others in no time.
tell us how it was for you cause im curious too, and how long is it usually before you spar in a gym?
you can spar poste haste if you want to. but if you do, and you go out there trying to prove you're great, the guy who's supposed to be working with you will be forced to work against you, and I guarantee you won't like it.
poste haste?
actually, as fast as possible, or right away!
