What's best for sore muscles is doing more of what made them sore in the first place. Make sure that you take the time to do a thorough stretching routine that will help a bit with the soreness, but as your body grows accustomed to training, the soreness will decrease.

If you're really sore now, if you can get access to a sauna and/or a hot tub that really helps a ton with muscle soreness. Just keep a close eye on your hydration levels so you don't dehydrate too much. Good job getting back on track. It's hard once the snow starts dumping on you.

Just to add something to the other good suggestions.

It's well worth investing in a good deep tissue massage now and again. It can be expensive if your tight for cash but if you can find a training school or a learner you could volunteer your body. Schedule it in to your diary like you would an hours training. It's one of the most enjoyable hours of training you can get - something to look forward to. Your training looks fine you'll be back on track in no time.

I'm jealous of ya having snow to play in, we haven't had a good dump yet.

after working out drink a cup of coffee....yes coffee....the coffee contains anti-inflammatorys and it should reduce the soreness the next day....lemme know.....
It feels good to be back home.
