How many of you bloody Brits are interested in going to a NFL (National Football League) game which is the pride and joy of American Sports. Or are all of you guy's Rugby fanatics?

I'm glad it's those two games. They sent the 9ers to play the Cardinals in Mexico last year. In what was one of the worst seasons for the 9ers ever. And the Cardinals aren't exactly at the pinnacle either.
The Dolphins on the other hand a streaky team who could potentially have a buzz around them playing against the Giants who are always players in the league. It should be a good game at Wembley instead of sending the 9ers to embarrass themselves in Mexico. And I'm a huge 9er fan.
One thing though, I hope this isn't a pattern. Football doesn't need to be globalized. I'm getting sick thinking about it.
"OK LONDON, ARE YOU READY FOR SOME AMERICAN RULES FOOTBALL?"
Is this a regular season game? I hope not.

Like I amat said they are trying to globalize football, but I don't think the Brits are really into American Football like Mexico is, but I bet it will sell out the stadium, I wonder what the time difference is.
When Hatton fought Tszyu the fight was on at 2 AM in England to accomodate to the US TV times, I'm sure they'll put it on in the late day in England to make it a daytime game in the states.Originally Posted by brazilianbomber
They had a go at bringing American Football to Britiain about 12 years ago when the London Monarchs hit the headlines.
I used to follow it on Channel 4 with Gary Imlach and the main presenter whose name now escapes me.
It never took off however.
Personally I quite liked it. I enjoyed the strategic element of the sport, many plays being almost chess like in their complexities.
Unfortunately the typical British sports fan cares nothing for chess or strategy in general![]()
to many players, to many pads, to many brakes, 3 in NFL aint it? + the time outs o0? to many ways for the staff and players to converse imo... don't the players or key players now have mics whilst they are on the pitch or inbetween plays to talk?Originally Posted by bilbo
All this line change etc, just aint for me...
Much prefer rugby, watching and playing. you work on your tactics and strategy in training and befure the match and at half time, when the players are on the pitch you got 7 on the bench, 5 of wich can be brought on to replace another at any time, the person can't come back on (except for blood injuries)
there is none of this defense and offense, and kickers? you need to be able to do it all, ok rugby has normally 2 kickers in a team for kicking for goal, but they need to be able to do everything else...
thats why i repefer it; NFL is ok tho, i normaly watch the superbowl, but for us sports or us + canadian i love NHL
dunno if it will sell out wembley![]()
I'm the real pretty boy
would love to see it
i reckon would sell out
