Id say Whittaker...... BY KO( ) Seriosuly, at his very best I think maybe Pernell would take the decision.. No way either of these guys would get stopped, as much of a beast as Duran was at 135. .. Would be alot more competitive then the Chavez fight though imo, Duran had alot more in his arsenal then Chavez although to be fair JLC was probably best at lightweight as well as were Duran and Sweet P.

Sweet Pea, he would be able to keep Duran off him all fight long, Mr. Pea UD

Ithink Sweet Pea, but it would be interesting if he had the speed to stay away from Duran who could catch the faster Leonard at a higher weight class... I think Duran also had very good defense, and because Sweet Pea didn't have the fastest hands Duran might have been able defend against most of them.

2 great counter punchers...might be a bad fight...
But I'd pick Duran...due to the "intangibles"

Duran by KO in the 10th, remember Buchanan was a pretty good boxer and Duran punched holes through him. How would Whitaker cause enough damage without getting popped?

whitaker dominates the fight and looks better than ever before against duran (who is 100% tailor made for whitaker's style)

but gets robbed in the decision

This could be another "no mas" for Duran.
The styles between Sweet Pea ans SRL are simular with Pernell being a bit more elusive than Leonard
Frustration and Duran don't go well together
