What happened to Goossen? And why 140? Both bad moves.

I think he had to do 140lbs.
He won't be as effective at this weight, but age and WARS perhaps, eh?

Without Goosen... that's a mistake. Diego's had so much success with him.

Agreed brother. Goossen was good for Chico. What do you mean by he had to fight at 140,as in contractual obligations? I think he should have moved to 147!! He's too tall for 140,his age,and all that draining! I also believe he would fill his frame impressively at 147 too and that power is awesome! Imagine if he used the jab and just boxed on the outside more,he would be UNSTOPPABLE!

I reckon we might see him fight Junior Witter on the Oscar de La Hoya undercard.

At 135, he was tall, "FAST", and imposing. At 147 he's average, slower, fighting stronger chins. Hell I can make 147 and Chico's just about as tall as me. He's ordinary. His power carried to small men, but 147 is a pretty big division, contrary to common thought.

I don't think his power will carry on to 147lbs. (For example: Gatti's didn't.) But We'll see. Some do; Tito comes to mind of course. But I don't think so. Milk that 140 as much as possible and be the BIG TALL guy Chico LOVES to have. Chico has never fought anybody taller than him, I believe. He bragged about being taller than Casa and Freitas before too. He loves that edge of height and leverage.

And CC dude, what do you think?

    Chico's so darn skinny.

His waist is the same size as some guy's bicepts. heheh Yes he had power, but being around to almost 6 feet tall and fighting at 130 -135 ? That had to help his power advantage right?

And being hit by 147 pounders, will take him to another world of hurt. Even non-punchers sting more, of course? ? What do you think. I just think that he's proved us and the press wrong too many times that he should not retire, but if at 147 he doesn't have that huge EXPLOSIVE power advantage as he used to, then what now? We'll find out, I guess... IF he can perform at 140, where now that he's bigger because he's older and still has to drain for that too. So I understand where your coming from.

He can't make weight anymore at 135....anyone notice that??

Chico needs to go to 140, he can beat/give hard fights to some of the young stars at 140.

    Hatton
    Harris
    Hopkins
    Witter
    Castillo again

There are a TON of fights for him at 140....honestly I'd like to see Corrales-Barrios!

I don't know,I just thought he would fill out more, carry his awesome banging power and may be, he has been down so much due to weight making difficulties so his punch resistance would increase. Then again,it could be wishful thinking on my part! If those factors I mentioned do not come to his advantage then he will have to fight at 140 I guess but he is going to put more strain on his body!
