Default Calzaghe to KO Manfredo in 4 .

People have questioned Calzaghes decision to fight Manfredo but i think its a sensible choice simply because Peter is popular and is considered hot at the moment.

I do believe however that Manfredo is well out of his depth and will be lucky to go 4 .

I reckon the fight will carry a little longer, but it is really a mismatch and a pointless fight nonetheless...

Sensible choice? Maybe according to the hard core Joe C. fans..... Not the rest of the boxing world.
I thought Joes sensible choice was Bika as his coming out party......

Peter is popular in Rhode Island and thats about it.....

Considered hot at the monent OK, I can see what you mean by that hes won 2 fights back to back via TKO. So yeah! it makes sense but the rest I don't agree with....

Manfredo is known by the mainstream after the contender series and is therefore a legit fight for Calzaghe.

JC could fight a better fighter but people will still be saying who the fluff was SO and SO, Manfredo is known and to a certain degree respected.

Calzaghe does a Tocker Pudwill on him and people really sit up and take notice .

Nancy Carrigan is known for her bout on celebrity boxing, so should she fight for a title?

Just because he is mainstream doesnt mean this isnt a crap fight for Joe C. He has stated that he has less than a handfull of fights left and he goes and signs to fight an up and comer?? If I was him I would be looking to cement my legacy. He has to be looking to either unifying the division or finding the fights that would cement he legacy. Fighting up and comers like Manfredo is very questionable. He is known but respected......not yet.

Joe wont KO him, Manfredo's head is to hard. Joe by UD while fighting the last few round with a broken hand.

Alfonso Gomez was able to hurt and beat Peter, Gomez a natural Light Middle.
    With tremendous heart and guts....

It may be a tougher fight than people are expecting. Peter has looked great in his previous two outings at 168 and if he doesn't freeze on the night he might cause a few suprises.

I rewatched the Cotto Malignaggi fight last night. Nobody expected the powerder puff Paulie to hang with Cotto but he did pretty well, I reckon Peter might be able to do that.

Beating Calzaghe is highly unlikely but coming out of the fight with an enhanced reputation is a real possibility for Peter.

If Peter goes the distance and puts up a good showing he will gain more respect than he got with his last two TKO's.

(Without any disrespect to anyone I myself being a catholic)
Jesus Christ could train Manfredo and not even he could make Manfedo win.

    A lot will depend on manfredo tbh;

If he goes and trys to win it, i think he will get stopped early on, if he goes to last the 12 rounds, i think he could do that.
