Thread: Kessler or Andrade

Well I am excited about this fight.

Is Kessler going to prove himself again or is he overrated by all the Kessler fans
( including me ) ?

I've watched a few Kessler fights and I've been impressed. I've only seen one Andrade fight and that a 1 round demolition so really can't gauge him at all.

But I'm confident that Kessler will outbox and win a decision.

Could be a great fight though, Andrade is an unknown quantity much the same as Chad Dawson was going into the Adamek fight, and we all know how that turned out.........

Really looking foreward to it.

Hard to determine how to rate Andrade as an opponent as he hasn't been thoroughly tested.
But what is really interesting is how Kessler handles a big, tough come-foreward type. Will Kessler show weaknesses or even crack?

Recently saw Kessler describe Andrade as an opponent he'd really rather NOT fight if he didn't have to, as his style was all wrong for (for Mikkel).
Only makes it more interesting.

Personally expect Kessler to deal with it fairly comfortably. But maybe i'm being too optimistic.

Glad it's gonna be on HBO so more ppl will get a chance to see them both.

Andrade.. Cos im a sucker for the underdog.. Guess its why i picked collazo over shane..

But in all fairness librado can really bang.. Some might think andrade hasnt fought his way up to this level of competition..But i feel comfortable he can show kessler what he is all about.. Since i feel kessler has not fought anyone of true value himself..
Much like dawson ademek.. Both entertaining fighters in theyr own rights.. But neither have faced the stars of the division.. and the super mid division much like light heavyweight.. There is a slight lack of big stars around there.. with exceptions to the one or two.. I.e light heavy- rjj, tarver, johson etc..
Supermid.. Lacy, calzaghe..

So it might just shape up a nice entertaining close fight..I hope so

I still havent been able to make up my mind on this one.....

I say Kessler cause I wan't him to fight Joe C. after, but I like Andrade cause hes Mexico only rep. at the higher weight classes....

Plus hes tough as nails.....

I think Kessler will box to a UD, they'll be patchy moments but I think Kessler has the better skills, and experience, but Andrade could get it done at any time during the fight. They'll both be supercharged because it's probably eachothers most dangerous competition yet. Could be one of the best fights of 07'.

The Hitman by TKO – only 2 of Kessler’s latest 15 fights has lasted the distance.

This fight has been announced ........ i ahave 2 days of the net and everythings in a tailspin !!

I cant call it because i have not seen Andrade fight but i like Kessler ALOT .

I agree, BUT I gotta pick a side I did it for Tapia-Romero, Morales-Barrera,
Tito-ODLH, RJJ-Toney...... I gotta pick a side....

kessler will give andrade his first taste of ko.

I hav not been able to find any footage of Andrade,is he any good? What is his style like? Kessler is a very good fighter but he's a bit robotic,I'd like to see him against a boxer or someone who could outwork him. Even though people say JC has ducked him,after watching some more Kessler fights,he would give Joe trouble for a few rounds but I think JC is way way too fast and agile for him.

Andrade is tough and is a come forward fighter at least he has been, but I'm sure he might try that for the 1st few rds. to see if he can get inside of Kessler to land his shots, on the outside hes OK but he does his best work on the inside, hes heavy handed, but needs to improve his hand speed and his defense. Kessler has to keep Andrade at a distance so he can land his big punch......

I just can't decide who I think will be the one to execute their plan the best.....
