He would have lost regardless of a fracture SMASH!
I agree. The hand fracture just gives him a springboard for his excuses.
I think that losing so closely to Hatton has f*cked his confidence up big time and he has been kicking himself ever since that night.
Must ruin your mind when you know that just a few more punches would have had your opponent down for the count.
Agreed makes 0 difference Shane was excellent and showed every single attribute that has made him one of the greats of this generation![]()
As much as it does look like a good springboard for excuses, unless you have actually broken your hand and continued fighting for another 9 rounds, it's difficult to tell what sort of impact that has on your performance. I believe he did it in the 3rd and he had probably his best round in the 2nd so who knows. Probably would have still lost but it may have been a tad closer.

I never saw any signs of pain on his face. I never noticed anything like Clottey who made sure the whole viewing world was aware of his hand injury by crying about it between each round. I never saw anything like Gatti/Baldomir when Gatti was favoring his injured hand.
Who knows...
nah me neither but trhere did look times when he looked ponderous but that could be down to Mosley's speed and skill. Who knows. All i do know is shane Mosley is top top classOriginally Posted by BoxingGorilla
