Thread: Personal Fight Videos: Finally Uploaded!

Okay..last thread kind of bombed, but I'll give it another shot...

Any of you guys have any personal fight videos of yourself/your friends? I just recorded a few grapplings matches between my friends and I the other night. I performed terribly, but I'll get them up here as soon as the guy uploads them. So right off the bat, I'll start with my worst footage ever, so don't be afraid.

If nothing else, I've seen how helpful guys in the "Ask the Trainer" forum can be when videos are posted, and I'm sure the guys here are the same way. I look forward to input once I get my videos up, hopefully you guys will do the same if you have any.

ehile we're on this, I finally picked up a fire wire this afternoon, so I hope to post a vid or two of me on my power puncher 2000, and one of me on my new invention, the push-up power master.

And as far as the backyard stuff goes, we consider it more sparring. You can't learn the stuff without doing it, after all

you never saw this? I now have about 8 hooks in the stud so I can move the pulley up and down about 3' to work punches form different angles. The top just unscrews can I drop a weight plate on as a needed. My left arm is twice as string as it used to be, all from mimicking punches.

Alright...we drank a LOT that night, and this was the beginning of a long bout with bronchitis for me, so I'm not doing too well. All in all a pretty embarassing night for me as far as fights go.

Lighting got TERRIBLE once I posted it on youtube. Not sure what's up with that.

And in case anyone is wondering, he didn't even have it sunk in on me, but the way he wrenched it and arched completely cut off any breath I was able to get. So I tapped because I couldn't breath, not because the choke was sunk in.

Watching it, I can see I DEFINATELY need to work on my scramble for position.

EDIT: As noted on youtube, ignore the commentary. That's a friend of ours that really doesn't know too much about the game, but enjoys it nonetheless. We should be getting back some of the better guys come spring/summer time.

lol...definately. I really don't even know how many times I've smashed my head on a table fighting my brother. Actually, last time we scrapped, I apparently smacked my head on a table. I didn't feel it at all (pain wise, felt the thud), but everyone gave a big "OOOOHHH." Tens minutes later, I noticed I was bleeding :P

But this is really a terrible fight in every aspect (from filming to actual fight to location). Once it warms up, we move back outside where we have lights and the better people start showing up again. But I figure if I start out with my (second) worst showing (I lost that night to the "the face push is working its magic" kid....the only time in over 10 fights), it can only go uphill from there.

And Van...GSP ain't afraid of me. Mainly because it'll be a cold day in hell before I can drop to 170 :P Anderson Silva might be a little afraid, but Chuck should be terrified.

Also, rather than edit a post, I'll just throw it in here.

Striking is my forte, grappling is something I just enjoy. I'm much more of a striking or GnP kind of guy. I just don't seem to have the feel for the intricacies of grappling like that.

Don't worry Heavy I'm not going to hold a drunken roll session w/your brother as a good example of your ground game.
