He was a good heavyweight prospect who gave Lennox a right fight then he got ill i remember that but then i heard he would be making a comeback but never did

After the fight he got sick allegedly with a virus infection, lost much weight and withdrew in December 2000 as active boxer. Mavrović lives now in close proximity to Požega and operates a bio farm, whose products sell quite successfully.

They said he had a mystery illness cuz he was a health freak who only ever ate organically produced foods. Not a bad fighter. He was abit on the small side and his power didnt carry up to the top level but he was ultra durable and had his fitness was second to none.

His overhand right was his honey punch and I remember him putting Clifton Mitchel on his head with that one. Then he went and shouted aggresivley at the losing boxer as the fight was waved off which I felt was uncalled for. Against Lennox though he was out of his league. He was far way away technically from where he needed to be
