Good fight I always enjoy watching Mundine.
It's an absolute joke that it was for the WBA world title though. Kessler is the world champ, elavating him to 'super' champion status is the biggest load of bollocks I've heard since the WBC decided to give Vitali the title of champion Emeritus.
Now we are in the sorry situation of not only having a thousand and one trinket belts, all about as valuble as the paper crown inside an Asda Christmas cracker with up to 6 world champions per division, but we also must await the WBA's own 'unification' showdown between Kessler and Mundine.
If Kessler wins that will he be both the WBA 'super' champion and the WBA world champion?
Will he be forced to vacate one of the belts?
Will he become the WBA 'Ultimate' champion and the 'Super' and regular world championship belts become vacant?
Could we end up with 3 WBA world champs?
Will the other belts follow suit and soon leave us with up to 3 world champs per belt and 20 champions per division?
Just depresses me to be honest![]()
You can only be the 'Super' champ or regular champ. Kessler can't be both.
If Kessler fights Mundine and wins he is still the 'Super' champ. and the regular champ. is vacated/there is none until a new fighters earns the shot at the title in which in this case that fighter will go direct into. fighting Kessler (if hes still the Super champ.)
Regardless of how they paint the picture it's still a crock of shit!! IMO and it more sanctioning fee$ for them and it just makes the sport more irritating.....
Soon the IBF and the IBO will join in and have 'Super Duper' champs.![]()

At this point why don't the alphabets just give a title to everyone in the top 10 and get it over withOriginally Posted by CutMeMicK
Super Champion
Champion
Almost Champion
Near Champion
etc.
So then we would have 44 Major titles and that would clear up all of the confusion.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

True. I really don't put much into it until Kessler fights Joe C....until then all these others are just fillers to be honest.Originally Posted by CutMeMicK

Mundine was impressive against the tricky Soliman. Kessler is the real champ and has a decision win over Mundine. Until Mundine fights Kessler again or Calzaghe nobody will recognize Mundine as any kind of champ. The Super Middle division needs a kick in the Ass and these guys must fight each other to determine who is the best here, it boasts some great fighters who sadly are more than reluctant to fight each other. Kessler to his credit has at least taken care of Beyer and Mundine.
Mundine has stated that he has a desire to go down to middleweight anyway and have a crack at Taylor!
As for Calzaghe...I don't think he knows what he wants to do and who he wants to fight, he is going to protect that unbeaten record no matter what so don't expect a match up with Kessler anytime soon.
