Thread: Who Impressed you More?? Kessler or Andrade???

Well Kessler was damn!!! impressive last night.....His combo's were non stop....3,,4,,5,, punch combos are rarely seen at a constant pace during any fight...

This guy just gets better everytime out!!!......

BUT!!!! Give it up for Librado Andrade

I know he lost...IMO he deserves a round of applause because that guy is TOUGH!!!!

He took some punishment in that fight...I haven't seen a beating like that since Rockey 1 and the guy never caved in....IMO they could have stopped that fight in the 8th or 9th and it would have been a good stoppage even though Andrade was not out on his feet....Only because it is not necessary to allow a fighter to take that much abuse...At the end of the fight he looked to be in good shape and I am glad for that...Too many one sided fights like that one can end a promising career

If Librado Andrade improves his skill a bit he will be a major force in the sport....I mean we already know he has a great chin...

I really enjoyed the fight. I really hope a Calzaghe: Kessler fight comes off next, would be one heck of a scrap!!

You know Im a big Calzaghe fan, but Ive a feeling you might be right. Even now Calzaghe is calling out Hopkins and Taylor when it seems neither is even considering going to SMW to fight him. Calzaghe seldom mentions Kessler when it really is an obvious name to bring up...

I suppose its a wait and see situation, but im inclined to agree with your thinking

The more time goes on I truly blame Frank Warren more than Calzaghe...Frank has the ability to make these fight happen but chooses not to

Nobody should take that kind of punishment. I am a Kessler fan but I am glad that Andrade didn´t go down in the end, that would have been a shame after showing that big heart.

i was disapointed with kessler ............. he threw the same shit over and over right hand left hook jab .... he never went to the body or threw uprecuts ............ granted he was sharp and good on his feet but wtf was his corner watching they never told im to do that shit, dont get me wrong i know its tempting to headhunt on a guy wide open but after 8 rounds he had to know he cant knock him out, which brings me to my suprise at andradae .... i think he could take a bat to his head

Kessler really impressed me. Andrade is one tough sob but wow was he over matched. Not many guys at 168 have the kind of hand speed that kessler does and when Kellerman said that he was on the short list of boxings best jabbers he wasn't joking. He peppered Andrade all night keeping him at the perfect distance for Kessler to do damage and avoid being tagged himself. Andrade has nothing to feel bad about he is a solid contender and I'm glad he got a shot at a big fight. Kessler and Calzaghe are simply in a class by themsleves in the Super Middleweight division. A fight between them just makes too much sense and for that reason I'll agree with you Daxx, it'll probably never happen.

I dont think you mean one dimensional, repetitive would be a better word to have used for that.

Andrade has only been with McCullogh for a little while maybe with some more time with McCullogh he could improve his footwork, or some other good trainer. I like how he got better as the fight went on, but he was getting hit all night.

i don't know what you are talking about Kessler performed like you should perform every and any fight. it was beautiful!! Andrade = not human . that guy has one of the best chins I've seen in a while because not only did he take some hell of shots he never seemed staggered or hurt by them. i like Andrade. that should show some fighters that sometimes you need a little more than just win a fight to get some fans you need to show heart. Good for Andrade!

I wasnt impressed at all with Andrade. Yes he was tough but he was also very limited and about as quick as my nan.

Keesler did a good job though.
