Former WBA super flyweight champion Martin Castillo (31-2, 17 KOs) returned to action Saturday night, knocking out Jorge Ramiro at "El Palenque" on the grounds of the world famous Caliente race track in Tijuana, Mexico. A left uppercut followed by a right hand in round five finished Ramiro. For Castillo, it was his first fight since losing his title on a cut against Nobuo Nashiro in June 2006. After that fight, Castillo had a plastic surgeon shave down his forehead and remove the scar tissue around his eyes, necessitating a ten month layoff. "We're happy to say there were no cuts in this fight and Martin came out really clean," manager Frank Espinoza told Fightnews.com. The Castillo Team is now looking for a big fight.
