Mine was Holyfield because he beat the bully Tyson thats when i first started to watch boxing and that fight got me into boxing so Holyfield was my hero when growing up and also Barrera he was one of my favorites and when he beat Naz that made me even bigger fan Roy Jones aswell because he had amazing skills it was like wow when i watched him because i had never seen anything like it before i didn't really have anymore boxing heros at that time because i didn't know too much about boxing then what about you ??

cc Ice - Evander is a good hero to have mate ! Top flight athlete him.

As for me , my dad had some old footage of Joe Frazier , Rocky Marciano . I loved the warrior mentality they both had . I watched those tapes religiously as a youngster, wanted to be just like that.

Grew up on Tyson, G-Man, Pernell, and Tito. Always admired Ali and Marciano though. Still the two greatest HW's of all time IMO.

My uncle Paul. He knew the outcome of EVERY single match. After the fight I would listen to him go on and on about how he told me this guy or that guy would surely win.

When I became an adult I realized that my uncle Paul was always right about his predictions because he never actually said who was going to win. He just spoke a mess of bullshit and confused the hell out of you.

    I followed in his footsteps.

But when you look at the fight a case could be made to say Holyfield was abit of a bully and dirty fighter he was holding and butting for 11 rounds and 3 rounds in second fight Holyfield was good at hiding behind the i love jesus and god thing it was a bit of a cover up then he buts Rahman then it comes up he could have been on steroids at some point and watching the 1st Tyson fight he was bigger than ever bulk wise shoulders and back

Oh come on mate i was little kid and i heard he went in prison so i got thinking he was a bully and imo he still is and that is crap about Holyfield on steroids that has been blown out of proportion but anyway lets not get into a debate about Tyson this is about your heros just forget it mate thats just the way i thought

Tyson was my heavyweight hero. Benn and Eubank were my homegrown favourites.

Evander would retaliate.. Tyson would start a foul, and Evander would finish it, Mike was not accustom to having an opponent come right back at him . You closely look at any footage of Tyson -vs.- Holyfield you see it’s Mike leaning in with his head with the intent to foul, not Evander .

notice where Tyson's hands are during this exchange .. Mike was moving inonly to throw the head butt. Tyson never intended to throw a punch in this exchange.
