An inside fighter. Which Miranda isn't.

Pavlik did surprise me tonight because from his last fight I thought that earmuffing himself that Miranda would catch him on the inside.

Didn't happen. But as I said Miranda IS NOT an inside fighter.

I thought he'd beat Pavlik though. Was wrong there

You were more than wrong. Pavlik completely dominated.

I respect your opinion, I do think Pavlik needs about three or four more good fights...in order to fight Taylor!

Absolutely none huh??. Shut up. Pavlik may have not fought a techinical fight but from he fought one hell of one. And he did have an excellent game plan, obviously. Backing Miranda up from the get go was a very smart plan and he did exhibit skill in doing so.. Not only that, but he was fighting for a chance at the middleweight title, and he made an extremely exciting yet effective display of diposing with Miranda, which would please and impress just about anyone tuning in, no matter their level of boxing knowledge.
Sure he could have been more techinically sound, but with the display he put on tonight and with the way things went from the first round why would he have? Pavlik impressed the hell out of me, he does have lapses in defence but he proved that he can take one hell of a punch and stick to a plan and keep pressing the action. He mixed up his power shots and remained the agressor all night even though he was seen as the better boxer... I can appreciate your thinking that Taylor would beat him, and Jermain is likely a better schooled fighter.. But Pavlik is going to be a hell of a fight for anyone. The guy has tons of heart, power, and he has better skills than he showed tonight..

What does Pavlik bring to the table that Hopkins didn't? He's not half the fighter Bernard was, and power is useless when you're as wild as he is, unless you have another wild reckless fighter in front of you, and Taylor isn't. Jermaine by UD.

I don't think popping jabs backpeddling will win against Pavlik and Taylor sure as hell don't want to go toe to toe.

You need to see more of Pavlik's fights.

He fought the fight that he said he would...& he won.

Pavlik is actually a hell of a boxer with ample power.

Also...if you think that he exhibited no skills whatsoever...find tape & watch it again.

He timed Miranda all night & used some vicious combos.

How old was Hopkins at the time of this loss?Get my point? Hopkins is damn tough but he was 40.Taylor should have beat him in a grander fashion than what he did.
I think Pavlik will disrespect Taylor like he did Miranda if Taylor don't run.

    I don't think so.

p.s.- 40 year old Hopkins beats Pavlik every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
