Jermain Taylor is nowhere near a useless fighter, but his attitude does need to get more aggresive, and his hunger needs to grow to pair it up with all his natural athletic ability.

I really do not see much humility in Jermaine Taylor, what makes people think he is so humble? He's picking opponents like a coward, bad mouthed both Winky and Spinks in his post-fight interviews and in the special life of JT bullshit they showed before his fight with Ouma, he came across as an arrogant prick. SC away (BTW, no one has ever given me a reason for SCing me, I don't mind getting them, but at least say why so we can have a reasonable discussion/argument about our positions).

After fighting Hopkins back to back and then Winky Wright I would say that there is no negativity in taking two fights away from the elite boxers. So that first comment is simply bias. Number two Winky Wright was the prick in thier fight, not showing up to the press conference and complaining about the decision for over a month. On top of that he refused the rematch which would have given Taylor 4 strait matches a top 3 P4P boxer in the world (so much for your opponent theory). And if you think that Taylor is an arrogant prick I can't wait to hear what you think about boxers like Mayweather, Judah, Hopkins, Tarver, Toney, Margarito, etc, etc.

Good responce, CC. Taylor, before he got gift decisions against great fighters, seemed to want to fight the best, I agree, but now he seems to want to fight smaller fighters he can safely beat, or who at the very least cannot hurt him, thus in my mind, he seems scared to lose.
Winky did act a prick after the JT fight, I'll give you that, but so did JT - and Winky has a history of being robbed in fights (IE Vargas), so his anger to me seemed perfectally understandable, because he clearly won the fight.
Boxers like Mayweather etc. don't really bother me, because at least they know they're acting like jerks, they're trying to sell tickets, and at least they have the skills to back up their bullshit as.
But something about Taylor's attitude bothers me, he try's to be this good ole' southern boy who loves his mamma and blah blah blah, but he is derisive towards his oppontents in his "victories" and seems to have an inflated opinion of his own worth and character... Did you see the HBO special before the Ouma fight? That right there was what turned me against Taylor, walking around acting like he's fucking Ghandi or something.
