If I was offered that I'd go to his back garden and let his mum be the referee
Ha ha..... quality, Joe. I'd coolclick him for that one if I could.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Of all the people in the world, Joe Calzaghe is talking about someone running? Sven Ottke has more room to talk then Calzaghe.
Yeah man Im sick of all the people runnin from Joe![]()
$6 million, a % of the live gate, and a % of the PPV = TAYLOR IS RUNNING SCARED.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!
I'm sorry, but I'm just not interested in this fight.
my prediction is it will be as boring as taylor vs. spinks.
Pitter Patter all the way.
Yeah, Calzaghe had agood fight against Lacy, but he hasn't showed me anything since.
And Taylor, we all know.
Pitter Patter fight to make millions. Makes no since.
I've never watched a boring Joe Calzaghe fight. It's probably impossible, how could you be bored when he faught Bika, or when Manfredo was getting pulverized, how could you be bored. Stick to american gladiators. Seriously man, sit down, get some tapes or something and watch it, I don't think there's a boxing fan on the planet who wouldn't enjoy it.Originally Posted by Danno

I think a lot of people are overly critical of Calzaghe.Originally Posted by Danno
He's a great fighter. Many people need to really sit down & watch his career matches. He's done some great stuff.
Also...the pitter pat thing that everyone always hang on Joe kills me...those pitter pats have knocked out a shitload of opponents.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!

Someone mentioned he pulverized manfredo, sorry but he smothered him with pitter patter in his backyard, and its not his fault the ref stopped it early.
I'm not really knocking Joe, I just predict the taylor/calzaghe fight is a making for big payday for very boring fight.
If they meet taylor will fight from the far outside all night.

Wouldnt even have to worry about losin his belts, a % and six mill? Shit, I would fight Calzaghe for that! Get the living hell beat out me too but i would do it with a smile!
Once again, I find it hard to believe you've seen a Joe Calzaghe fight. Brewer, Mitchell, Salem, Veit, Bika, Sheika, Reid, Woodhall, Eubank, all really good fights and better than 90% of the tripe you see. His domination of Manfredo was one of the best pieces of boxing the world has seen, I've watched it about 20 times and every time I was throughly entertained, I was there live and it was amazing. I think I'm from your school of thought, I love a tear up, I love fighters like Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, the men who love to get inside, I like watching fights, but Calzaghe is never, ever boring to watch. He doesn't fight on the outside and dance around like a pansy like your trying to say, he always mixes it up, and uses the sweet science at the same time. It's the perfect mix for me.Originally Posted by Danno

Joe C is a Fuckwit if he believes anything that was writen there:
Lets look at the facts, Jermain has been champ since 2005 and in that time has beaten a p4p champin Hopkins, who had over 20 middleweight defenses, had unified that division, and will walk straight into the hall of fame.....
Next fight was against against Wright, widely recognised as P4P number 2, undefeated for 7 years, and conqueror of Shane Mosely and Felix Trinidad, and
multiple 154 pound champ.
Next fight was his 'break' fight against a former world champ in Kassim Ouma.
Next fight was against a former multiple weight chamo in Spinks, and conqueror of Karmazin, Judah and Mayorga.
So who has he been ducking? In 2 years he has fought four champs with a combined 42 world title defenses.
Joe C accuses Jermain of looking to fight guys from smaller divisions, yet he is a supermiddle calling out a middle?
He accuses Jermain of taking on a smaller guy in his last fight yet he fought the dwarf manfredo?
He accuses Jermain of not looking to leave a legacy, yet in the 10 years he has been champ he has yet to have a guy that could even been considered top 15 p4p.....
He has had the chance to fight guys such as jones jr, hopkins, kessler, johnson, tarver, michalczewski, ottke, beyer, and has not. They cant all have been ducking him all the time?
So for all u guys who say Jermain is running scared good on you, but at the same time ask yourself why isnt joe going after kessler? Why if he wants to truly stamp his claim as a great fighter like he is telling taylor to do doesnt he fight the main man? Cos he is scared....
It's funny how Calzaghe is slamming Taylor for fighting the smaller guys....but Jermain is a smaller fighter
Exactly. cc for youOriginally Posted by amat

I think Calzaghe has a valid point, and I doubt Jermain is smaller than Calzaghe in the ring, he's easily big enough to comfortably fight at 168lb and not be smaller than anyone, not like Ouma or Spinks v Him.
