Thread: HOW FAR CAN MATT SKELTON GO ?

I like Matt and his no nonsense style he just likes a fight i would love him to win a world title but im not sure he can go all the way what do you fellas think

I like him. I see him beating Sprott, fighting Briggs for WBO belt, losing and bowing out by beating someone like Scott Gammer.

I fancied his chances against Valuev but he is'nt champ now

Yeh maybe the only thing is, his style of fighting wudnt be acceptable in the states. Its borderline over here at times. Stil think Briggs is his best shot.

I did'nt realise Skelton vs Sprott had been cancelled i did a topic but it was removed

Skelton is made for a good power puncher but hes an honest pro

Hard to say, seems like forever since i last see Skelton fight.
Still... I know that he wont let himself down however far he gets. He'll give all he has.

I reckon he'll hold a strap for at least ONE fight.

I reckon he's on a par with Masakev, maybe Briggs if he can stay away from his power.

I'd like to see his fellow K-1 star Mighty Mo enter the heavyweight ranks as well.

He should be fun to watch.

He could probably take Briggs out because Skelton has great workrate and stamina

If you compare his record with others he's only had 21 fights and he's what 40 odd.

Won't he be retiring soon?

He's only just got started mate

He has'nt been fighting years and years and he's a young 40 he does'nt drink or smoke he leads a clean life he always stays close to his fighting weight

Just can't imagine him has world champion. There again, I thought the same of Johnny Nelson years ago...I know this will shock you all...but I've been wrong before
