Thread: Mayorga VS Vargas set to happen in September!!!

If you ask me this fight is long over do. It should have happend about two years back but I would still love to see it.

Let me guess, it barely belongs on Telemundo but it will be a $50 PPV with no undercard.

The build up to this fight will be as exciting as the action in the ring on fight night I'm sure!!!

Mayorga's chin is more solid plus i think he has more in the tank than Vargas has at the moment.

wasnt this fight agreed at some random catch weight of like 162 or some BS?

Both Good fighters, both exciting but the fight has no relevance or significance. These guys wer both ko'd in their last fights and are unlikely to challenge for a title next/soon. These guys are two tough guys capable of hurting each other badly....so thats all i see happening two fighters on the slide injuring each other for entertainment, with only financial gain. I dont like it.

This fight is at a catch weight from what I have read thus far(162?) and this favours Fernando. Any other weight,Matorga KTFO him out but Mayorga is far too small for 162,I think Vargas wins this,and then I hope he retires after the fight!

I think Vargas needs to box to win this fight, if he does he can win this fight comfortably, but how much does Vargas want it ? Is his heart there anymore, is he prepared for a war? Im not sure but i think it's a pick em, it deoends on alot of what Vargas turns up.

Telemudo is a bit harsh, but according to boxrec (and we know that isn't the most accurate) the undercard isn't that bad. God know's we've seen worse.
