Well, the BBC tend to be conservative in their reporting, so I suppose one of the positive aspects is that negotiations are at an advanced stage. Basically I reckon this one will have to be made, cause it is by far and away the most lucrative fight in the division, and at the end of the day, like Mayweather v De La Hoya, the greed of all concerned will mean it has to happen.

I'm wandering what will happen if in the future Calzaghe makes it into boxings Hall of Fame. Will he appear by podcast or will Frank Warren go over there on his behalf?

Lol, I believe that Warren, if he is still Joe's manager, will be charging the HoF for Joe to turn up. Joe is quite significantly influenced by Warren, and what I heard after a recent gym opening is that Warren charges £3k for Joe to turn up and open stuff.

Hope this fight gets finalised soon its starting to anoy me now.

well the Kessler camp is also willing to go to UK if Warren match the offer they have given Calzaghe....

If Kessler agrees to this he might as well just collect his check and hand over his title...No need to put your body through the training camp or take any un needed shots...HE WILL GET ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!

I'd have to agree with that statement 100%

I hope to hell Kessler can bring out either a good fight or a few knockdowns to work to a draw & keep his strap...but I imagine that if he don't TKO Joe...then the above applies.

since when has the UK been a place where fighters get robbed? i mean i can't think of one out and out fight where a guy has come here and been 'robbed'
