I know the fight is a little over 2 months away.... But does anyone else agree with me that this fight is not worthy of a PPV fight? Not to mention the undercard doesn't look that great

I agree with you. It promises to be an entertaining fight, but I'm surprised to see here that it is PPV.
Puerto Rico, Small Island, Big Champions!!!
Marquez-Barrios PPV Worthy![]()
For $2.99... Yes.
For $49.99... Hell No!
NO
HBO always does this with Mexican cards. I guess they know the mexican boxing fans will buy it everytime.
Ya, Barrera had a few of these crappy PPVs as well.Originally Posted by lance Uppercut

If I can go without one or two PPV's then I can break the chain, but as soon as I break down and order one than I go on a buying streak.
Honestly, there's no way its PPV worthy. Barrios is a warrior and Marquez is a P4P boxer, but its not worth 50 bucks. HBO got b@lls to put this on and call it PPV. But then again its not as bad as Barrera vs. Fauna was.![]()
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
I don't know the figures but I'm guessing PPV with MAB-fANA and those of similar quality did fairly well, then of course HBO are going to milk PPV. Personally,I love watching JMM and Barrios is exciting but it is DEFINITELY not PPV worthy.
Depends on how you look at it. If your judging by entertainment value(should be a hell of a fight) and considering among hardcare fans that these are very recognizable names, and disregarding the actual implications of the fight than I would say yes. However, my feeling is there is no way in hell a fight like this should be PPV and I won't be buying it. Just put the July 14th card which will be on HBO for free up against this one and tell me that it deserves to be on PPV.![]()
I know everything about nothing!
