I've gone for a draw, or a close MD for one or the other. I cant see one dominating the other.
Hopkins TKO
I think Bernard will give away too many rounds to get a decision. but will bring accurate power. Winky's defense will keep Hopkins from scoring high but won't keep Hopkins from getting to him with telling accumulation which will eventually stop Winky.
May be wishful thinking as much as anything but I'm a Hopkins fan first and a realist second.
Wright on points

WOW
Bhop is one of those people on the same skill level as Winky though, that's what has me so pumped for this fight as well. I just have to lean towards Hopkins because he looked so strong at LH against Tarver.. Potentially Winky could handle the move up as well, but he just moved up to 160 and really never struggled to make the weight, wheras I feel Hopkins semi drained himself for several fights at middleweight being caught up with making title defences.. Hopkins is definetly the bigger guy in this fight I think, and he may just have what it takes to crack Winkys shell with accurate shots.Originally Posted by boozeboxer

Winky Wright is one of my favorite fighters, but I think this fight is a pick 'em, it could go either way. I think Winky has the talent and execution to defeat B-Hop, but the same could be said about Hopkins. Winky's workrate could win the fight for him, but the weight class jumping could have an adverse effect on him and he's probably never been hit as hard as B-Hop can, Taylor is probably the only real comprable. I have no clue who takes this one, I'm leaning towards Winky, based on his work rate and his defensive mastery, and the fact that I like him better than Hopkins, but it's far from a lock in my mind.
I agree with this fight being a very tough 1 to call. We now have 5 votes for B-Hop & 6 for Winky.Originally Posted by CFH

I think that B-Hop will be something physically @170 that Winky has yet to have experienced. If he chooses to press straight ahead with his hands high as he has done in some of his latest fights, that will be a mistake IMO. As great as his defense is I don't see this strategy as a good one against Hop. But it's possible that Winky will just throw more punches & out hustle Bernard.
It's a good match but I'm counting on Hop's strength at a weight that Winky has never seen to be one of the deciding factors. We'll see in 2 weeks.
Hopkins on points or a draw , looking forward to it tho![]()
I say WInky by Decision. If anyone could prove me wrong its B-Hop, but I don't think he can keep up with Winky's pace or throw enough punches to really puncture Winky's defense. Also being the slower fighter I think he will have a hard time finding opening in Winky's guard when he's letting that jab fly.
Winky via decision
It will be a boring fight
