I know just by their names alone this fight generates a tone of interest. You just can't help but get caught up with the excitement of the event. Howver, most would agree that this will be an extreemly complicated chessmatch. Nither is expected to get hurt at any time, much less hit the canvas. They are both defensive masters which points to a miss fest. Nither is a big risk taker or considered agressive so we can expect a low volume of activity. However, both guys know how to apply pressure with limited amount of actual pounching so in a way this fight will also be a war of wills. A cold war at that.
I am a big movie buff. So what does this have to do with boxing? Nothing except to make a comparison. I enjoy the action movie like any other guy and I see them again and again. But the movies that really get to me are the suspense movies. The once that keep you on your toes cuz you don't really know who's in control or whats gonna happen next. However, once I know what happends in the end. The movie gets tossed in my closet and I probably will never see it again. It just is no fun anymore when you know what happends.
I suspect this fight will be similar to a great suspense movie. I will be at the edge of my seat every minute of every round just trying to judge who is taking control of the fight and how is the other guy going to take it back and who will come out on top. But I also suspect that after it is all over I will have little desire to see it again as the fight will most likely be a bore once you know who won. But no doubt it will give us all fond memories.
