Default *Poll* Hopkins - Wright (Who you think Won the fight)

Who did you have winning the fight and include your score or general jist of your score if you can..

I had hopkins Up by two as i had the same card as lederman aside from i though Hopkins won the third and fourth rounds..

I thought that harolds frustration with the fight was clouding his judgement in places and was taking away from hopkins what imo was the busier and more skillful fighting on the night..

Clearly Hopkins thoug I only had it by 2 points .

He totally sussed out Winkys style , beat him to th epunch , grabbed on , truned him landed a flurry and moved away again . Winky was stuck in the mud and was very tired late on . Looked like he was guna collapse in the 12th . After the last 2 rounds there could be no question Nard deserved it .

Winky did well but he should fight at light heavy again . He was far too slow and looked clumsy the longer it went on . He was clearly struggling to catch his breath and Although he was able to match Hopkins up until the 10th he just didnt have it in the tank to finish strong . No shame though in losing to possibly the best fighter of the modern era .

I gave it to Hopkins for sure but I had a real scary feeling that the judges were gonna go the other way, glad they got this one right and gave Hopkins not only the win but a UD. Well deserved!

Hopkins won (the dirty bastard that he is) by 2 maybe 3 rounds. Frustrating fight for Winky as Hopkin's use of the head and all the holding seemed to piss him right off. But yeah Hopkins clearly won.

Funny part of all that is Hopkins said he would do all of those things before the fight...Not outright but he did say he will fight rough.....

Hopkins is not really a dirty fighter just a master of every trick in the book.....Ever watch fights from the 50's and 60's?......

    Those guys were dirty

I scored it 116-112 in favour of Hopkins. It was an ugly fight and many of the rounds were awkward to score. I watched the fight this morning and going through individual rounds is too difficult unless I watch it again.

Ive seen the fight once and felt confident enough to say Hopkins by two. Hopkins definately finished the stronger of the two.

I think the head use just comes with hopkins' style tbh..

And although the holding was bad from Bernard early i feel the momentum shifted and it was in fact winky who was to blame for alot of holding in the latter rounds

I wanna know who the muppets are that scored the fight for Winky...

I have no time for Hopkins but he clearly won the fight by 2 or 3 rounds.

Winky was mad to take that fight at 170. He's never fought above 160 so he takes on Hopkins at 170. He looked flabby to be honest. Also disagree with his fight plan of taking the fight to Hopkins. I think his plan was to make Hopkins work harder by fighting 3 minutes every round (something B-Hop hasn't done for a while). Trouble is Winky couldn't do it either carrying the extra weight. Winky should have done NOTHING but be defensive and counter Hopkins for the first 4 or 5 and frustrate the hell out of Hopkins. Easier said than done - Hopkins is the master of breaking opponents psychologically. The fracas at the weigh in, all the shit talk - all done purely to make Winky more aggressive. AND IT WORKED...

And does Winky know how to piss and moan about a decision??

Jeez Wink, you are a great fighter but you got beat. No get your cut fixed, cash your cheque and get over it.

I think he may likely fight at 168 from now on..

But also with regards to his shape its been a long time since he was any where near ripped..

Its because his training is never quite as intense as it could be but it is effective and he makes up for it in talent..

He has naturally big shoulders and long arms and i think he could fill out to be a genuine light heavyweight in time and it would work for him as thats where i imagine he would finish his career..

But yea.. I think the only time he was particularly thin was at light middleweight

168 could be good for him - a Mundine matchup would be intriguing, as would fights with either Kessler or Calzaghe. Still think he'd be better suited to 160 though...

Winky wuz robbed. I can't believe most are seeing this the other way. I didn't realize punches that get blocked count so much to you guys.

Hopkins is a dirty fighter and he can't be effective without doing so. It's evident in every fight he's involved in. Winky backed him down all night and blocked about 90% of hopkins shots while beind effectively aggresive and he still had this fight taken away from him.

Seriously......what does Wright have to do to win a decision against a top guy?

One thing that interests me with Winky is the fact he rarely fights for titles etc..Well..He does fight for them i suppose..

But he was undisputed light middle.. Then prob should have become lineal Middle after the jermain fight but fell short.. Fell a bit short tonight..But yet winky has a bigger reputation then most champs or alot of unified champs.. And it'd be nice to see him own a few more belts and maybe unify and defend so he has a little something to defend and to put on the record..

Are you saying Winky landed more than Hopkins? I remember Winky missing a hell of a lot of shots, more than I thought he would.
