Thread: What happened to Kassim Ouma?

Since his loss to Jermain Taylor, I have not heard anything about Ouma. He showed guts in that fight like always and is a very exciting fighter. Anyone know what he's been up to? Does he have any fights on the horizon?

He's fighting Sergio Mora on the Marquez-Barrios undercard.

CC. Thats the first I've heard of it. I think he can beat Mora, Mora's a feather fisted punk.

if he loses to mora we might not hear from kassim for awhile.

I hope he completely destroys Mora.. Mora will not beat anyone of decent caliber.

I heaven't heard of any fights thats coming up for him, but he did mention how the vernon and baldomir would be boring and crap.

I think his doing good since the lost to j.t. His around here somewhere, the number 1 fan of himself. He'll bounce back, his a good fighter that just can't seem to get over that hill towards elite level.

I thought it was weird his management team was saying he could make welterweight if a Mayweather fight came up. Then they threw him in with Taylor, a middleweight. ?

Yup,for a while,I even posted articles saying Kassim would come back to 147,then he went to 160?! He was tiny at 154!!! Apparently,he's staying at 160,I see absolutely no idea why,they guys there are much bigger than him and it's not as if he had great power in the first place. I'd say come back to 154,where the division is just begging to be cleaned out!

Yeah, really. He said he had some problem going into the fight against Roman & that's why he lost the title that night. I never heard the reason but he sure hasn't been active at all.

Seems like he could have found his way onto more undercards than just the one coming up on Sept. 15th.

I like Ouma but I don't know why he's staying at 160?
I think Mora is in for a beating!!!
Maybe an impressive outing against Mora will see Ouma back on track & in against some big names, hopefully @ 154... guys like Spinks or a rematch with Karmarzin.

True, he should target Spinks, that could be an interesting fight. Ouma would pressure him & they'd both have losing to Taylor @ 160 in common.

Boxrec says it's on...I fancy Mora too nick it, don't know why and I hope he doesn't but my gut says Mora will win a close UD maybe even SD.

Ouma should go down to 154 and dominate down there, a fight with Forrest would be very interesting. I think he's gonna beat Mora.

i think Ouma will beat Mora, but hey lets give credit where credit is due, he's taking a huge step up (Mora is), and he's fighting a guy who's top notch, and has one of the toughest minds in the game today, with the stamina to match

i think thas most likely to happen, if ouma walked through jt's punches he def will walk through mora and kill him
