Thread: Anybody know what's up with Carlos Quintana

I recently moved close to this guy's home town and he's got a pretty loyal following here.

The guys good. I think he was just not ready for someone of Cotto's level yet. I mean how did a victory over prospect Joel Julio get him a title shot in the first place?

I think he could give Berto a real test. He needs to get active again and build up his confidence with a couple fights and take another crack at it. There is only one problem though. He is in the wrong division if he wants another title shot. Too many elite fighters at 147.

he's got no fights scheduled right now

I like Quintana. He is having a tune up this year and wanted to fight Berto at the end of the year but the Berto camp declined the oppertunity.

Thanks for the heads up. I hope we see some more of this kid. He's got some potential.
