    Default Hatton v Mayweather ,

I was thinking of Floyd's most dominating performances of late , Gatti - Zab-Baldomir.
    1. He look like superman againest Gatti but now it unfolds that Gatti was possibly shot anyway , as the form since suggests.
    2. Zab , well he is not and never was the fighter he was hyped up to be.
    3. Baldomir , well he was a tough club fighter who beat....Zab and Gatti , hmmmmm is there a pattern here ?
Mayweather didnt dominate Castillo in either fight , well not totally , so that brings me to Ricky Hatton............................................ well he hasnt looked good against 2 of his last 3 oponants , but he is no mug either , i am going to bite the bullet and say Ricky Hatton does bring something to this fight. He has the ability to rough up Floyd and i think has a better chance with Floyd than with say Cotto , Floyd is not a big puncher in a Cotto mode.
Yes Mayweather is lightning fast but to dismiss Hatton completely is a mistake.
Yes i have to favour Mayweather but i am very interested in all your views guys , EVEN THOSE WHO THINK HATTON IS A BUM
I also think anyone who is not a Massive Mayweather fan would love to see someone shut his big mouth

I am a massive Mayweather fan - boxing wise, I think he had the potential to be as popular as Oscar but nobody likes a nob do they? As a man, I think he is the ultimate cock, I kept thinking, it's all for show, but it isn't, he genuinely is a cock. Even his dad's latest interview, he rattles on about 'lil floyd' disrespecting his nan, kids etc on 24/7. So....as a fighter, I have huge respect, as a person I have NIL!

As for the fight, I am a bigger Hatton fan, I honestly believe (and can't believe) he is massively under-rated. His performances against Kostya and Castillo have been criticised for both fighters being over the hill but did you hear either fighter complain? He made a legend quit on his stool and stopped another legend in four rounds (someone who has never took a count!)

Then there is Floyd who like you say, hasn't exactly pulled up trees in his last few fights (Oscar aside), Baldi, Gatti and Zab had seen better days and were easy-ish fights, you can't blame him for taking them though. I think Oscar had his number if he kept the pressure up, which is exactly what Hatton will do...

    But

Floyd is Floyd and he does what he does better than anybody anywhere, he has the ability to make the greatest fighters look stupid with his defensiveness and speed/agility.

Heart says Hatton, head would usually say Floyd but you just never know

When u look at it even closer u can see Hatton has not done a lot in his whole career, except beat KT.
Dont get me wrong he is a good fighter, but beating Maussa, Collazo, Urango and a shot JLC is no moe impressive than Floyd beating Mitchell, Judah Baldo and DLH.

Oh yes dont get me wrong when i talk about Mayweather wins over Gatti etc im only making the point that those 3 fighters were not greats , and i know Ricky hasnt done anything like Floyd in the win stakes.
But the point im making is Ricky has a chance , it may be say 65%-35% in Floyds favour but im just saying its unwise for people to think Hatton has no chance wot so ever.
This should be a good fight , and i for one will be cheering for Ricky

I think Gatti was so shot for the beating he took for Mayweather and Baldomir... The man who fought Mayweather would have beaten Gomez, and Gatti was a horrible welterweight which wasn't where he fought Mayweather. Also against Judah Mayweather wasn't fighting his style and he was fighting the sharpest Judah I've ever seen. You watch Judah-Mayweather then Judah-Cotto and you will see his hands were much faster against Mayweather and his reaction speed was much sharper. If Cotto threw only 40 punches a round he wouldn't have done nearly as well as Mayweather did against Judah.

Also how is Baldomir a bar fighter, sure he was beaten by Forest almost every round, but he was hitting Forest way more than he hit Mayweather who after he hurt his hand wasn't able to keep Baldomir off. No other fighter in the world could make Baldomir look so slow and out of his league as Mayweather that night. I still think Baldomir beats a lot of the top come forward guys like Margarito, maybe even Cotto, and some versions of Hatton we've seen unless Hatton held a lot.

I agree Mayweather is getting to be tiresome with his antics, but he is way better than HAtton or anyone else out there except maybe Mosley or Paul Williams.
