Thread: Who Should Mayweather Fight Next If He Beats Hatton

Welterweight Division is hot at the moment who would you like him to fight next.


I voted for winner of Mosley vs Cotto imo thats biggest fight out there the winner of that would be 100 percent deserving of there shot with Williams coming in as close second i actually wouldn't want to see Oscar rematch but i see quite alot of people do so i just added it in.

Got to be Mosely-Cotto without a doubt. I dont want to see another De La Hoya Fight.

Definetly got to be the winner of Mosley/Cotto, imop apart from Hatton Sugar Shane is the man to beat Mayweather at the moment. Im not interested in a rematch with De Le Hoya although I didnt think the fight was that bad to watch.

Same as , I am a massive Hatton fan but I think Mosley deserved the shot at Mayweather before Hatton but hey either way these fights are all good for boxing!!

Im having full confidence in my boy to win this for us, not letting anything get the better of him at all.

I think if floyd wins he should fight Cotto-Mosley winner because they will be the deserved challenger for Floyd imo.

IF he can beat Floyd he will have done a great achivement and a lot of people at 147 will be willing to fight him because they know he is the man to now beat at 147 because he beat the best guy at 147. So i think he would try and fight Cotto if he beats floyd because we know it would be a war and these men were bound to face each other one way or another.

I think Hattons got another 4 decent fights in him at least but after that he will start to drop a bit i really cant say. He needs to get in with all of these men to show hes a true Brit. If he loses a close decision against Mayweather i really would like to see Hatton stay at 147 and challenge the big boys and i do believe he can get wins. He really needs to find those body shots and put them on the mat because i can tell you this if he gets a shot against anyone like he did against Castillo thier advantages will start to weaken because they will slow down due to Hattons body work. He will have to get inside or he would not have any chance at all, he needs to slow them down early or he will get picked off and lose the fight.

The maggee fight was years ago and Hatton was still learning his trade if they fought now i think it would be stopped early.

u cant train ur body to take shots like..........you can onli train to avoid them

Its his best chance to get a win against any of the big men if he uses that bodywork because it will slow them down or he can time that perfect shot like he did against castillo and win a KO.

Mr Seddon. This thread is irrelevent as my boy is gunna teach Floyd a lesson. I'm throwing myself on the line. There is no point in following a fighter if you don't believe he can win the biggest fight of his career.

If Mayweather wins he will pretend to retire again straight away claiming he is the greatest of all time, and then be drawn back out to prove it against cotto or mosley...meanwhile hatton will be forced to drop back down and take on paulie mallignagi in new york (who will have defended his title again by this time) and he'l be able to fulfill yet another long held dream- headlining at madison square gardens.

If Hatton wins he'l face cotto (after he defeats mosley) and will have to stay in the 147 division to take on the big boys. Meanwhile Floyd will be hankering for a rematch because he'l claim "i was robbed" and "hatton spent the whole fight wrestling me", i imagine hatton will give him his rematch after facing cotto win or lose.

All in all though, hatton cant lose, either way he fulfills a few dreams and becomes a big name in america. Whereas floyd in most respects cant win because he is expected to beat this largely unknown fighter from britain who between fights is overweight, a wrestler and not good enough...i sure hope floyd doesnt really believe the hype, or hes in for a verry big surprise.
