Lennox Lewis calling the fight with no third announcer, so Lennox is responsible for all the analysis.... this could be a long night.
Have we figured out exactly how many fighters Freddie Roach trains? I think the number is approximately 17,248.
Very nice thank you for doing this.
There's about a 50/50 chance that CutMeMick ties cinder blocks to his ankles and jumps in the Pacific if Mexico loses this World Cup.
Round 1: I was busy eating pizza, so I missed some of the action. Pensalosa is the aggressor, Gonzalez in the boxing stance.
I'm giving the round to Pensalosa.
Round 2: FIrst 2 minutes are slow, Gonzalez jabbing and moving, Pensalosa coming forward but not landing much. Gonzalez lands a good hook to the body and a nice uppercut in the last 20 seconds.
Round to Gonzalez, 19-19.
Sorry, Penalosa, not Pensalosa, I'm an idiot.
Round 3: Gonzalez still the boxer, Penalosa the stalker. Gonzalez moving, but not landing. Penalosa lands a couple decent counters.
GOnzalez lands a good hook to the body in the last 15 seconds, but Penalosa comes back.
Round to Penalosa, 29-28.
Round 4: Good round for Jhonny. Stick and move, stick and move. Penalosa chases but doesn't throw. Gonzalez lands another solid hook to the body, he needs to throw that more.
Round to Gonzalez, 38-38.
I can see Nacho Beristain's moustache all the way from my apartment.
Round 5: Jhonny is taller and rangier, and he's keeping the fight at a distance. Not landing hard punches, but he is landing. Penalosa chases but not effectively.
Round to Gonzalez, 48-47.
Round 6: Jhonny's plan is simple, punch.. then circle, punch... then circle. Penalosa can't solve it. He lands a counter every now and then but not enough to do any damage.
Round to Gonzalez, 58-56.
By the way, Pacstraightleft wants everyone to know that if Pacman was in this tournament, he could KTFO all these Mexicans with one hand tied behind his back.
