Default Las Night was a Great Night for Boxing!!!

The transmission started with a first round KO from the son of former Wold Champion Wilfredo Vazquez, Wilfredo Vazquez Jr., with a vicious left hook.

Continued with an upset when the young Dominican prospect Marcos "El Tigre" Jimenez was TKO in round five by Edel "El Cuate" Ruiz from Mexico. Marcos started the fight strong, scoring a knockdown with an upper to the body, but the experience of El Cuate was too much for the young fighter.

Roman "Rocky" Martinez (Puerto Rico) vs.Daniel "Azuquita" Jimenez (Dominican Republic)... The fight of the night, and I'm sure it may receive some votes for the fight of the year!!!, if these 2 guys who fought to unify regional titles were fighting for world titles. The fight remained me Gatti vs. Ward... Azuquita started faster and stronger than Rocky, but as the fight progressed Rocky closed that gap. Rocky hurt several times Azuquita, but then, it was Azuquita time coming back. This was the dynamic all night until the 12, when Rocky scored a TKO. Great fight!!!

Calderon vs. Cazares.... This was an exhibition of boxing skills, a clinic from Calderon who started scoring his shots as he wanted, and you could hear the crowd screaming Ole!! when the bull Cazares missed his shots and Calderon punched. But, then Calderon tried to stop in front of a 130 pounds fighter and was badly hurt and dropped to the canvas in the 8, surviving the 9. In the 10th and 11th Calderon looked totally recovered. During the 12 Cazares did all that he could trying to KO Calderon unsuccessfully. Calderon eventually won the decision and stated that he was willing to give the rematch to Cazares, and Cazares claimed that he wanted the rematch. Of course this will represent some money for them.

I just can say that the money paid was not lost and I'm sorry for the boxing fans that missed this one. But, looks that we will have a second chance to watch them, don't miss that one. Rounds 1 to 6, clear for Calderon, 7 to 9 for Cazares, with a knock down in 8, 10 and 11 clear for Calderon again, the 12 could be for Calderon, but I'm still giving it to Cazares, and this sum 115 - 112 for Calderon. No hometown decision. And, by the way there was only one Puerto Rican judge.

You will enjoy these fights... This may be the next chain of fights in the low weight divisions like Carbajal vs. Gonzalez, Finito Lopez vs Alvarez.

    Thats what I'm talking about
i knew that Calderon was going to pull this 1 off as i previously stated.
He has and shows masterful skills in the ring although i think he should only have a few more fights left in him, he should fight with Eagle Kyowa and claim that he is the best at Minimumweight.
Now what happened with Jesus Rojas 8-0 (6 ko's) and fellow puertorican prospect Max Rivera 3-0 (3 ko's) who were also sopposed to fight but i guess not. Any ways like u said great night!!
