Default Is Ivan Calderon now p4p?

Ok, and I realise this is a hypocritical post as I've always bashed these little guys but did Ivan Calderan's performace against Cazares warrant a place in the p4p rankings?

It's probably the first time I've ever sat and watched a fight under 110 lbs but Calderon looked really impressive. He lacks power, which is unsuprising seeing as he's built like Scrooge's Tiny Tim but he really has skills.

His performance against Cazares was reminiscent of Mayweather Coralles although I'd imagine the size disparity (6 inches) was greater in this one.

He did get caught in the middle rounds but he held firm and came back,

I'm thinking maybe 11 or 12 in the rankings right now, possibly top 10.

    What do you guys think.

Oh and yes I El Gamo I know you told me so

LOL,don't worry bro,I've set many people straight on this site, you're just another in the list No seriously,I'm glad that you came to your senses watched it because it was always going to be a great fight. Calderon is DEFINITELY P4P,top 15 at least. He defended his title against respectable opponents in his division, moved up in weight and fought the champ in that division. A champ who had a fearsome reputation and Calderon beat him. Look at the size disparity! Definitely P4P imo.

I think the fact that he did get cought and then recovered sais a lot more than if he had just cruised to a UD.

Great performance, I was really impressed. I thought the size advantage would be too much to overcome and he'd get stopped, but he proved me wrong

What he did last weekend was beautiful, I'd prolly have him 15-20th if I could be bothered enough to make a list.
I want to see him fight Ulises Solis next.

Havent seen the fight yet but my friend said he thought Calderon lost. Probably because of the KD. Claims Calderon was flopping around the ring and holding? Is he just biased because hes Mexican?

I definately beleive he can be on the top 10 p4p list right now. I wouldn't argue it. To dominate your weight class and then take on the best in the next weight class above you whom many people consider to be the best in that division is great.

Calderon is definitely one of the best P4P in skills... May not in power, but not many active boxers can claim skills like him except for for a few.

Honestly, like El Gamo said, Calderon is p4p top 15 but may not be included yet in the top ten P4P.Anyway, it's a matter of time that he will be in the top ten.

    I would say he's somewhere around 12, 13.
Not top 10 yet but very close to being top 10.
