Funny character to have on one of these shows. Maybe he's trying to get rid of the villain persona...

He probably signed for this before the Hatton fight so might pull out

He could be hoping to get someone like michelle rodriguez as a dance partner for expieience against hatton. Yano, same come forward aggresive style...grrrrr....

Nice one Floyd, if its a one off appearance,

At worst it will provide a morning or afternoon of mild distraction for him in the build up to the Hatton fight...no more no less...

Though you can hear the press now harping on about him not taking Hatton serious..not preparing correctly...then the Floyd turns actor headlines and so on....he is a multi million pound name thats making the most of it for money and profile...

But dont anyone be fooled into thinking this can affect the fight it wont..

Holyfield was on this show he was a bad dancer very stiff but he tried his best i expect Mayweather to do good its just all a bit of harmless fun.

Sorry for tainting a nice pleasent thread, but this is my 1000th post and i thought it should be about hatton.
Floyd-Ricky's goin bus you up!

Just a way to get more exporsure in a positive light for casual fans....won't affect the way he performs in the fight in any way imo. He could probably film the show at 3 beat hatton at 8 and still have energy to make it to the after fight party that night. I hope he's not taking hatton for a slouch though, although i feel he will have absolutly no problems with hatton, any little distraction will be to ricky's advantage....

I guess it's a good statment for Floyd, to show that he doesn't even need to take Hatton seriously and can join a dancing show.

I'm suprised though. The fight is only 4 months away, if he's in this show for a while he'll have trouble prepraing properly no matter what anyone says.

Most top fighters go away for three months boot camp before a fight, they certainly wouldn't be flying half way across America to compete in a televised dancing competition every Friday night

Mayweather will do the chicken dance.

This just brings in more PPV $$$ for the fight. "If it makes dollars, it makes sense."

I don't think it'll effect his performance at all. It's not like he was up in the mountains training for the DLH fight either.

holyfield wasn't too bad.

Damn Holyfield is a a terrible dancer,anyway, WTF is Floyd thinking about? He has one of the toughest fights of his life and he talking about appearing on dancing with the stars. He is not focused. He is looking past Hatton and i will not be surprised if he get KTFO.

Damn Holyfield.....rock on with yo bad self. Hey man that dancer he was paired with was smoking hot! I noticed he got stiff after she grinded up on him........its hard to dance with a boner

Dancing will be good for Mayweather. He can also dance while fighting Hatton. If he gets hit and falls down he can have an excuse. That he was tripped by Hatton.hehehe.
