    Default Anyone else miss PRIDE??

I miss the MASSIVE crowds,I miss the amazing cards which beat alot of boxing cards in terms of the number of good fights on the card,I miss Bass and the fight doctor and their commentary!! As good as UFC will get,for some reason, for a while at least,I think I'll prefer Pride. The shows had more variation, amazing fight making and great atmospheres. I think I even preferred the cage to the ring!!

Anyway,I hope they sign all the best PRIDE fighters!!Then Pride can come back of sorts, inside the UFC! Heck Henderson v Rampage IS,for all intents and purposes,a pride fight!

the UFC doesnt book fights like pride did, they feed guys who could get over to better fighters when they shouldnt be, and they make matchups like ultimate fighter season one third place vs ultimate fighter season 3 2nd place and act like people give a shit

Yeah man,I totally agree, especially after having watched SOOOOO many PRIDE and UFC fights back to back. I firstly collected the best events from both shows(plus lots of K1,Pancrase,Shooto etc) and I
have to say,PRIDE beat UFC hands down,in every aspect that I mentioned. Even the beefs in PRIDE were waaaaaaaaaaay better(Silva Cro Cop/Rampgae etc as opposed to Ortiz-Shamrock etc)

And I REALLLLLLLLLY dislike that Dana White dude. I mean he talks so much crap and has to be one of the most self contradictory people I've ever come across. Dude, one question though, what is the difference in how matches are booked? You're just referring to what I said right, ie fighters are poorly matches in UFC whereas in PRIDE they were better matched?

yea, thats what i mean, they also always try to get guys over who they think are marketable, like that forest griffin motherfucker, they put him on every fucking card

if you wanna see a good feud look for the shamrock frye fight with the japanese version of the pre-fight video, that was the greatest shit ever, they show don frye saying shit like

'he came here and wanted to get himself popular so he started trying to injure people in his fights, thats bullshgit'

and then shamrock says some shit like

'fuck him, i dont give a fuck'

they make frye out to be a hero and shamrock out to be the ultimate bad guy, they were real good at that shit in pride, thy could build up fights with those videos like no other, in ufc its the same boring 'he was mean to me in ultimate fighter' vs 'he deserved me not liking him' bullshit viniets every time, and the same fucking gladiator suit intro to every PPV
