    Default Rampage unifies belts!

With another unforgettable night, the Ultimate Fighting Championship made mixed martial arts history as world light heavyweight champion Quinton Rampage Jackson unified the UFC and Pride FC titles, scoring a five-round unanimous decision over “Dangerous” Dan Henderson.

Since its inception in the late 90’s, comparisons between the champions of the Pride FC and UFC have lit up message boards and chat rooms alike. Which organization was the best? Who was the best fighter? Following the acquisition of the Pride Fighting Championships by Zuffa, LLC in 2007, UFC president Dana White announced that those questions would finally be answered.

Yeah,as much as it sucks,it didn't say"and new unified champ"<the announced merely said still UFC champ. They should have a made a bigger deal about it being a unification,it was a historical fight! It was more historical than UFC v Pride seeing as both were mainly PRIDE stars

Yea it they didn't really make a big deal about pride champion vs ufc champion, becuase ufc's champion(chuck) got beat already by pride fighter rampage. if chuck would of won, they prolly would of made a bigger deal about it but since its basically two pride fighters fighting to unify UFC couldn''t really take any credit for it. UFC's lightheavyweight is already taken over by pride fighter. so it would of been stupid to blow up the even as pride vs ufc.

Dan is still the man though, rampage is just on his prime now.

hey I finally got a computer and t.v. so i got a chance to watch this fight. your right it should have been promoted better becouse it was a very competitive fight. I was actually worried about it going to the judges becouse henderson had alot of control in the wrestling game. but my guy Rampage pulled it off.

I was glad to see Rampage win. He deserves it, he's paid his dues for years, fightin over in Japan against the best fighters in the world and now he's on top of the MMA world. He's THE MAN now. And I think he'll stay that way for a while, I cannot wait to see him or Chuck take on Houston Alexander though, that guy is comin up thru like a fukin juggarnaut with his last too 1st round, 1st minute KO wins!
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
