Thread: Chad Dawson hires new trainer!!!

As reported by fightnews.com 'Bad' Chad Dawson has parted ways with Floyd Mayweather Sr. due to personality differences. Senior's replacement is none other than as figthnews reports, "former world champ Eddie Mustafa"...by which I believe they mean to say Eddie Mustafa Muhamed who was a damned good fighter.


Big change and a big disappointment for Floyd Sr. as he has not trained very many fighters from the ground up as Roger Mayweather ALWAYS brings up.

His new nickname is Chad "The Retarded" Dawson. Get with the program...Well, if he has no chin like Mayweather claims, we are gonna see about that on the 29th...Diaconu can slug.

Well Floyd Sr. wasn't with him from the ground up anyways, he's only been his trainer for the Adamek fight and the one on the Tarver undercard. Dan Birmingham was his trainer before that.

This is the second time now he's switched out trainers in the same month of a big fight. And Diaconu is a lot more dangerous then Adamek is.

Dawson puts on a clinic in this fight anyway! Diaconu can punch but Dawson has almost every other advantage! Mayweather not being in the corner ain't gonna make no difference to the outcome!

Sounds to me like Dawson has trouble dealing with trainers, maybe he doent like to listen or he is hard to get along with. Hes gone through Birmingham and now Floyd Sr. I think he was trained by John Scully before them too. I guess I can understand Floyd Sr. being hard to get along with, seeing that man every day would grate on anyone. I like Dawson but I still think Diancadu is going to KO him.

Someone has a personality conflict with Floyd Sr.??
