DESCRIPTION Mesi fights Shannon "Trouble" Miller (15-3, 9 KOs) on Friday, October 12th at Twin River Events Center in Lincoln, Rhode Island.

The 10-round main event is for the vacant WBC USNBC heavyweight title.

He's probably just still trying to get his confidence back up but imo, it's time to step it up more. Keeping in mind of course that if he beats Miller, this doesn't mean he's ready for a title shot.

Shannon Miller is the guy who got brutally KO'd by Maddalone a year or so back isn't he? I'm sure he is. He hurt Maddalone in that one too and looks to have decent skills, he's a capable fighter. Should be a good test for Mesi, since he insists on fighting on.

yea, hes the one who git KTFO by maddalone, and then he got KTFO by two undefeated guys, hes on TV here a decent amount

He wasn't but he was working on it. The fact that he looked, acted and fought like a regular "Joe" is what made people like him. It's also why they wanted him to succeed. The fact that he fought and won in a brutal match gave him sort of that Rocky appeal.

Honestly...for Joe's own safety & most boxing fan's sanity I would love to see Joe barred from the ring totally.

Great White Hope or not...Joe aint a sure fire sell for me in the first place...his injury punctuates that thought with an exclamation point!

One thing I dont get about this guy...whenever he is commenting on a fight, he is always the first person to want a fight stopped. But he cant see that when it comes to himself....
